Free parking during main street upgrade

WHITSUNDAY Regional Council uanimously resolved at its meeting in Bowen yesterday to implement free parking for the first four hours in the Airlie Beach Lagoon precinct and unlimited free off-street parking in Council's temporary carpark located on Waterson Way, for the duration of the Airlie Beach Main Street upgrade.

In addition, free off-street parking next to Coconut Grove will be made available for Airlie Beach main street traders.

The approved changes mean that residents can park for 4-6 hours for $2, 6-8 hours for $4 and 8-28 hours for $6.
