THE rumours about 4 Ingredients co-founder Rachael Bermingham are true - well, some of them.

No, her business partner did not run off with her husband.

There were no affairs, she is not moving to America and she is not having another baby.

But the mother-of-three has confirmed she has left her husband and 4 Ingredients.

Ms Bermingham released a statement on her public Facebook page to quash the above rumours.

"IT'S been a very tough year but life-changing and wonderful all at the same time," she said.

"A year ago I made two very important decisions that I had been agonising over every day for many, many months.

"After a lot of soul-searching, I made two choices that I knew without doubt were in the best interests for my boys and me."

Ms Bermingham told Facebook the news was not new to her family or close friends and did not feel it was necessary to "shout out to the world" about it.

But her personal life had been leaked to the media and she felt the need to set the record straight.

"With every separation there are challenges, however we have all come through it unscathed and are all happy going our separate ways," she said.

"The boys and I still see Paul all the time.

"He's adored greatly by his three little boys and we're all happier with our new-look family.

"Kim is still passionate about food and 4 Ingredients and continues to knock out fabulous 4 Ingredients cookbooks.

"I am thrilled and proud of everything she does and wish her immense luck.

"It's been an incredible adventure and I now look forward to the next chapter in my life with both Paul and Kim in my life, just in a different way."

Ms Bermingham has hung up the apron on her multi-million cookbook empire, which has sold more than 4.3 million copies worldwide, to start a new challenge.

After seven bestselling books, thousands of calls and queries from budding authors begging for publishing help, she felt it was only natural to establish publishing business Bermingham Books.

"Seeing someone who has had a book idea for 20 years finally write and produce their first book and hold it in their hands is just a fabulous feeling," she said in a release yesterday.

Ms Bermingham will also release her eighth book, based on her personal life and business experiences, next March.
