Search underway for missing man

Whitsunday water police are currently coordinating a search and rescue operation in the hopes of locating a man who went missing from a yacht. The boat was moored at Hook Island's Macona Inlet when the man fell overboard at around 12.50am today. 

Fellow occupants of the vessel alerted the authorities who have now commenced a search of the surrounding area.
