A SECOND Whitsunday school was forced to close last week due to a case of Swine Flu.
St Catherine's Primary School in Proserpine was forced to close on Friday morning, the final day of term, after a student was confirmed to be carrying Swine Flu.
The order to close the school was made by the Queensland Catholic Education Office on Friday morning and students were sent home straight away.
St Catherine's Principal Daniel Ward said given it was the last day of term, there were no major issues caused by the closure.
“We had to postpone a function but there was minimal disruption,” he said.
The school will re-open at the start of term three on Thursday July 16.
