VIRGIN Blue and Jetstar have cancelled all Saturday flights in and out of Proserpine Airport and Hamilton Island airport due to the possibility of strong winds generated by Cyclone Ului.

Jetstar has cancelled its daily services between Hamilton Island and Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne tomorrow, Saturday 20 March, and Sunday 21 March.

 The airline is giving passengers booked on services to or from Hamilton Island on Friday 19 March, Saturday 20 March and Sunday 21 March the option to transfer onto another Jetstar service at a later date or receive a full refund.

 Jetstar’s services to Hamilton Island, Mackay and Proserpine are operating today as scheduled.

Virgin Blue has cancelled its Saturday services from Brisbane and Sydney to Hamilton Island and Brisbane to Proserpine.
