$18 million for house on Hayman

THE first private house on Hayman Island will be released this month- and comes with an $18 million price tag.

There will be six houses in total which have been designed by international resort architect Kerry Hill and made available to Hayman visitors.

The Hayman private residences will include a series of three and four-bedroom residences (500m2 to 750m2) on elevated oceanfront sites averaging about 4000m2.

Owners and their guests will have full access to Hayman facilities and services.

Mulpha Australia hotel investment head and Hayman Island managing director Lloyd Donaldson said the decision to offer residential property on the island was because of constant interest from regular visitors.

“Sales recorded through the exclusive release underpin the desirability of this unique opportunity to own a piece of Hayman and we understand the prices are some of the highest achieved on a private Australian island,” he said.

“The official release of these first residences marks a significant milestone for the island and we are receiving considerable interest from Australian and international clientele.”

As well as the residential project, Hayman will unveil eight Beach Villas on the shores of the island as part of its resort accommodation next month.

Mulpha Australia bought Hayman in 2004.
