4000 audio files make up trafficking case: court
A DRUG trafficking and possession charge against a former Toowoomba restaurant owner have been adjourned so legal counsel can process a substantial amount of evidence.
Former Olive Branch owner Jason Matthew Wood, 35, was not required to appear before the Toowoomba Magistrates Court yesterday when his legal counsel asked for a lengthy adjournment.
Wood is facing one count each of trafficking in dangerous drugs and possessing dangerous drugs.
Solicitor Chris Lumme, for Wood, asked the court for a lengthy adjournment so the large brief of evidence could be considered including in excess of 4000 audio files.
Wood, who was charged in January last year, has not been required to enter any plea to the charge and remains on bail.
Magistrate Graham Lee adjourned the case for mention on May 25.
