50 families to adopt for Christmas

THE Whitsunday Times Adopt-a-family Christmas campaign is now in its fourth week and there are still 50 families to adopt.

A total of 86 families have been put up for adoption and 36 of these have already been adopted by generous people within the community.

If you or your business has not yet adopted a family, it is time to get in now because there is only four weeks until Christmas.

Once you have chosen the family you would like to adopt, register it with the Whitsunday Times and start shopping.

In a box or washing basket put together books, toys, vouchers or gift certificates, non-perishable foods, health and beauty products or towels and linen.

Include things you think would be suitable for your family's description of age and gender.

Attach the number of your family on your gift or hamper and drop it into the appropriate community organisation that your family is listed under, no later than December 9.

For more information on how you can adopt a family please don't hesitate to contact Mandy Patterson at the Whitsunday Times on 4940 2103.
