THE Easter bunny along with a garden fairy, sunflower fairy and the white rabbit all were at the Proserpine Nursing home on this morning.
The Mad Hatter's tea party was put on by the home's staff and volunteers to brighten the Easter of the home's residents.
Residents sipped tea and ate cupcakes while Jeni Borellini played the ukulele and a huge Easter bunny handed out chocolates.
Coordinator of the lifestyle department at the Proserpine Nursing Home Nancy Bellert organised the tea party.
"It's all themed around Alice in Wonderland. We try to have a theme so they can join in," she said.
For those too frail to join in the activities in the function room Ms Bellert said her staff visit the individual living quarters of the residents.
"We go around in the morning all dressed up so they can still interact with us and know it's a special day."
The room was full of colour with decoration hanging from the roof and smiles adorned the faces of the residents.
"We have a modified egg hunt so they don't have to go outside and pay pin the smile on the Cheshire Cat."
Ms Bellert said the excitement about the day had been building for weeks and the residents were all happy the day had finally arrived.
