Record numbers use school-based help line

THE number of students using the Kids Helpline @ School class link-ups has increased nearly 30% in a year, the group says.

Kids Helpline says more than 2500 students have participated in the school-based program from January to March - up 29% on the same period in 2015.

The video conferences allow Kids Helpline counsellors to talk with classes about keeping children safe.

Kids Helpline is a 24/7 counselling service specifically for children and young people - free call 1800 551 800 or http://www.kidshelpline.com.au.
