A TEENAGER is in shock after the car she was driving slammed into the rear of another vehicle this morning near Dalby.

The female driver claimed  a third vehicle pulled out from Mount Pleasant Road onto Dalby-Nungil Road at about 9am and failed to give way, causing the vehicle she was travelling behind to brake suddenly.

The driver allegedly attempted to slow down, however her vehicle slammed into the back of the car in front of her.

The driver's friend Tonya Sanderson had been travelling behind her and arrived at the scene within minutes of the crash.

"We were driving about five minutes behind and we saw her car on the side of the road," she said

"We didn't know what had happened or if she was okay."

Council workers on site witnessed the accident and contacted emergency services.

The driver of the second vehicle was transported by Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics.
