HE'S been told he's overqualified and underqualified, but Rickey Didmon just wants a job.

It's been a painstaking three-year job hunt for the Townsville resident, who said he would be happy being a toilet cleaner if it meant having a full-time job.

The 55-year-old has more than enough qualifications to work on a mine site and is hoping to secure employment with Adani.

"I would definitely put my hand up for one of their (Adani) jobs when they start," Mr Didmon said.

"I would even be a fly-in fly-out worker."
