Adopt-a-family campaign to start

EVERY Christmas the Whitsunday Times runs an adopt-a-family appeal.

For those who would like to do something to help others in need this Christmas, this is a chance to help struggling Whitsunday families or individuals with a gift hamper. The hamper can be stocked with toys, gifts, non-perishable food and any other items that put a smile on the faces of those less fortunate.

The Whitsunday Times has had a great response in previous years for the adopt-a-family appeal, assisting 108 families last year. To benefit from the appeal families and individuals must be currently registered with community organisations.

A list will be printed each week with the gender and age of each family member. They will not be named. If you would like to register to adopt a family or need more information contact Kellie Chart on 4940 2105.
