Airlie accommodation displays golden touch

THE Whitsundays continues to prove its popularity as a holiday destination.

Local accommodation provider Airlie Court Holiday Units has been crowned the highest rated accommodation provider in the region, with an approval rating of 9.4/10.

The Gold List, compiled by Star Ratings, an independent accommodation classification system, represents reviews from more than 100 websites in 45 different languages.

Owners Peter and Selena Chengody said customer satisfaction was their highest priority.

"Over the years we've learnt what the customer wants, so we've been able to provide that," Mr Chengody said.

"Peter really goes above and beyond," Mrs Chengody added.

"And so does my wife, she's really pulled (the business) together," Mr Chengody replied.

Also on the Gold List were Hamilton Island's qualia Resort (Best Australian Resort) and One and Only Hayman Island, which won the Best Australian Family Property and Best New or Relaunched Property to Visit.

Other high-ranked accommodation providers in the Whitsundays include Portside Whitsunday, Pinnacles Resort and Spa, BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort, Conway Beach Tourist Park, Whitsunday Apartments and Best Western Mango House Resort.
