Alert over mystery package at airport
POLICE established a security cordon at Bundaberg Airport after a suspicious package was found.
Bundaberg Police Senior Constable Martin Darby said the suspicious package was found in the loading area at the airport late yesterday when it started making a beeping sound.
The package was moved to a safer area of the airport and a 100m security cordon was established about 4pm.
The airport was still operating late yesterday, and a QantasLink flight landed after the security cordon had been set up.
Passengers were allowed through the terminal.
