Ali’s ex puts engagement ring on Gumtree

It's 18 months after their long-term romance ended and Ali Oetjen's ex-fiance is selling her engagement ring on Gumtree for more than $12,000.

With the Adelaide beauty head over heels in love with her new Bachelorette beau Taite Radley, Confidential understands her former flame Dave Waldeck has put the ring - a 3.56 carat Ceylon Sapphire gem with diamond cluster set in white gold - up for sale on the classifieds website with a negotiable price tag of $12,400.

Described by "Dave of Kurralta Park" as in "perfect as new condition with no marks or scratches", the custom-made, one-of-a-kind Wishart Jewellers piece comes with a certificate valuing it at $19,150.

The ring matches the one given to reality TV star Ali at her engagement party in December 2015.

Dave originally proposed six months earlier while they were on a European holiday but popped the question a second time in front of family and friends at the Stirling Hotel.

The pair eventually split in July 2017 after 3.5 years together, with Ali telling Confidential the breakup was "extremely tough".

"It was a long time coming … we tried our best, it just didn't work out," she said.

Ali, who first appeared on The Bachelor in 2013, went on to star on spin-off reality series Bachelor in Paradise, whichended with her ugly split from US beau Grant Kemp. She appears to have finally found love with Taite, to whom she gave her final rose on The Bachelorette this year.

"Finding someone who has the same passion, outlook, views on life is incredibly uplifting & empowering," she wrote on social media.

Dave did not respond to requests for comment.
