Annual bush dance returns to Prossie

IT'S time to kick up your heels with an end of the year bush dance at the Uniting Church Hall in Proserpine this Saturday.

Local musician Bob Barford and friends invites everyone in the Whitsunday community to come along and swing your partners around.

All music will be performed live by local musicians keeping in the true spirit of bush dancing. There will be dances from England, Scotland, Ireland and Australian heritage.

Mr Barford said people didn't need to know how to dance in order to attend.

He said they had even created an Australian dance called 'The Crush' which included several moves representing the different stages of sugar cane season.
