Armed hold up at Kuttabul hotel

TWO men are on the run after robbing the Kuttabul hotel yesterday morning. 

The men entered the business armed with a gun and a knife at around 9.50am. 

One of the men grabbed a female staff member, threatening her with a knife, while the other threatened a male staff member with a gun. 

After a struggle with the alleged robber, the staff members escaped to safety at the rear of the hotel. 

The armed men then forced open the cash register and stole cash before fleeing the scene. 

They were last seen driving away in a maroon coloured sedan. 

The first assailant is described as Caucasian and 183cm tall. 

The second man is described as Caucasian, 187cm tall and of slim build. 

Both men wore black hooded jumpers with their faces obscured by cloth. 

Neither staff member was injured during the incident.
