Army vehicle crash in Rockhampton

UPDATE 5.20pm: RESIDENTS at the scene of an army truck vs small car collision said all they heard was a "small bang".

Groups of people had gathered at the edge of Lower Dawson Rd after the incident, which closed off the Rockhampton bound lane for a short while.

BREAKING, 4.45pm: LOWER Dawson Rd is partially closed in South Rockhampton following a crash between an army vehicle and a small car.

Traffic was diverted after the inbound lanes were blocked across from the Southside Holiday Village, but traffic is now free flowing.
