Artist exhibits at RAW

FORMER Proserpine artist Lauren Simpson's Instagram page has earned her an exhibition spot at RAW Brisbane.
RAW is a fun and alternative way for artists to showcase both to their local community and the world-at-large.
Ms Simpson is inspired by the natural environment and self-perception. She was among 40 emerging artists to exhibit at RAW's last exhibition.
She said the show provided her a chance to network and meet like-minded artists.
"I met a lot of artists and got a few commissions, it was a big achievement for me," she said.
Ms Simpson's series of paintings employed floral motifs and displayed strong ties to nature. "It was a great opportunity. Professionally it was a good way to let people know you exist," she said.
