Artist turns author to release paint book

HOW did you paint that? That the question which prompted artist-come-author Wendy Eriksson to release her new book.

The book, released at the Cannonvale Library, is a guide on how to recreate Ms Eriksson's "Fish Feeding" masterpiece.

How Did You Paint That? is a step-by-step instructional book - made with "ridiculously detailed" handouts produced by Ms Eriksson for classes - including pictures that will turn the average Joe into da Vinci.

"I never planned on writing a book but so many people asked me 'how do you paint like that?'," she explained.

"Some artists like to know where they're going, even though I have no idea where I'm going. For me, it's about going with the flow and not looking too far ahead."

How Did You Paint That? makes painting a cinch, and also explains the how and why behind Ms Eriksson's "Fish Feeding".

The book launch concluded with a demonstration from the talented Ms Eriksson.

How Did You Paint That? is available for $29.95.
