TODAY is the day - Ocean Rafting will now officially operate from the North Village at Abell Point Marina.

The new office, which has replaced Marina Cellars, is freshly painted in a sea-side white to match the rest of the village's picturesque setting.

The Ocean Rafting staff are excited to enjoy a morning coffee at Sorrento Restaurant and Bar and Ocean Rafting owners Jan and Peter Claxton couldn't be more pleased with the relocation.

Ocean Rafting had previously operated from the jetty at Coral Sea Resort for 13 years.

Just over one month ago, they decided to move to Abell Point.

"We had simply overgrown our previous location and felt our business was growing and we needed a location that was growing as well," Mrs Claxton said.

Mr Claxton said that operating from the new marina would result in a smoother operation.

Abell Point Marina marketing and business development manager Luke McCaul is looking forward to the additional 145 people a day Ocean Rafting will be bring to the Marina.

"A tour as adventurous as Ocean Rafting really adds to the Marina's tagline of 'Stay.Play.Explore'," he said.

"We look forward to the amalgamation and really making Abell Point Marina the premiere destination to explore the Whitsundays."

Ocean Rafting has moved four vessels to the marina with an additional vessel set to arrive in January.

The multi-award winning tourism operator has also taken to social media to announce the relocation on a local and international scale.

"The amount of interest we have already generated is exciting and we can't wait to see what this means for us and the marina," Mrs Claxton said.
