Bald Eagles to help handicapped kids in Bali
AUSSIE RULES: The Whitsunday Bald Eagles are returning to Bali for the annual AFL 9s masters carnival but this time they'll be travelling with extra luggage.
After introducing members of the Bald Eagles to the YPAC School and Orphanage last year, the Baldies opened their hearts and now they're preparing to give on their return trip.
The YPAC School is for handicapped children and teaches them practical skills such as sewing and carpentry.
The Bald Eagles plan to provide a cash donation, basic supplies, special treats and have also organised a party for the underprivileged children.
"After last year's visit to YPAC we left with a resolve to help make a difference to the every day lives of these wonderful children," Bald Eagles president Jack Lumby said.
"As well as raising funds to YPAC our wives and families have been gathering presents to bring over for the kids so there won't be too much room for our footy boots this year.
"This will be an ongoing commitment to the children of YPAC made possible by the big hearts of my fellow Baldies, of whom I am so proud."
