Bali drug boy returns to Australia

A 14-year-old boy who has spent the past two months in a Bali detention centre for buying marijuana arrived back in Australia on Monday morning.

The New South Wales teen was released from Jumbaran immigration centre on Saturday night and spent the night in a holding cell before boarding a flight to Australia.

He arrived in Sydney about 9am (AEDT) and avoided media attention.

The boy was detained for two months for buying 3.6kg of marijuana from a street dealer in Kuta, Bali, on October 4.
