A $2.5 MILLION upgrade is set to be rolled out at Woolworths Bowen, with the revamp expected to start next week.

"While our Woolworths Bowen supermarket is a great place to shop, we have the opportunity to undertake a $2.5 million upgrade of the refrigeration plant and equipment," he said.
"The state-of-the-art technology will allow for greater control over the quality and range of products available in our store while also enabling significant energy savings."
The upgrade will run from September 14 to February next year and the store will continue trading during this time.

The new refrigeration plant will be designed to be energy efficient and will comprise a refrigerant hybrid system that will reduce the store's greenhouse gas footprint and energy consumption.
"We would like to thank our customers for their ongoing support during the upgrade," the spokesman said.
