Billy Gordon charged with drink driving on Origin night
EMBATTLED Queensland independent Billy Gordon has been charged with unlicensed and drink driving.
The ABC reported on Thursday Mr Gordon was pulled over on at about 11pm on Wednesday night on the Kennedy Hwy near Kuranda.
He was breathe tested and allegedly registered a blood alcohol reading of 0.94 - nearly twice the legal limit and was found to be unlicensed.
He will appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court later this month.
Fairfax Media reported Mr Gordon had been drinking while watching Wednesday night's State of Origin game.
Mr Gordon was elected as a Labor MP but resigned from the party in March last year.
