YOU BEAUTY: Bindi Irwin wins Dancing with the Stars

BINDI Irwin has beat Backstreet Boy Nick Carter and Alek Skarlatos to win the Dancing with the Stars Mirrorball.

She shone alongside dance partner Derek Hough in her final dance on Dancing with the Stars.

With the contest wrapped up and entrenched firmly in the hearts of Americans, Bindi told the Daily she will be heading home to Australia Zoo in time for some family time.

"We'll be back in time for Robert's birthday on December first, so we'll definitely be home for Christmas," she said.

"It will be so nice to spend some time with all my animal friends after a couple of months in LA (Los Angeles."

During the past eight weeks Bindi has impressed viewers, judges and the show's pro dancers, with her commitment, her heart and soul, as she opened up about her life and the loss of her father, through dance.

Bindi said Dancing with the Stars gave her the exposure to share her passion for wildlife.

"Being on the show has given me a bigger platform," she said.

"I've always thought that if I was on a show, or in a movie, then I would be able to reach a bigger audience and spark an interest in wildlife conservation.

"People watching Dancing with the Stars may not be a huge fan of David Attenborough, so it gives me a chance to reach people that I otherwise wouldn't have had the opportunity to."

Congratulations to Derek Hough and our amazing Bindi Irwin who have just won the Dancing with the Stars grand final! We'...
