Black Jack first across the line

QUEENSLAND’S Black Jack was first across the line for the 62ndBrisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race this morning.

The 66 foot yacht crossed the line at 8.52am, more than an hour and half outside of the race’s record time.

However, the yacht has set a new record for the fastest time for a Queensland owned yacht to cross the line.

Black Jack owner Peter Harburg said the first half of the night was really exciting as Black Jack surfed waves at 20 to 25 knots.
