Blackouts caused as car crashes into power pole

POLICE are investigating a single vehicle traffic crash that occurred in Mundingburra early this morning.

Around 1.25am, a car has crashed into a power pole on Ross River Road.

The impact caused black outs to some nearby houses and traffic lights.

A 23-year-old female passenger was transported to hospital in a critical condition.

The driver, a 20-year-old man, suffered cuts and abrasions to his arms and legs.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating this incident.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
