Blaze need Harvey replacement

THE Gold Coast Blaze may be given a lifeline to continue in the NBL next season, but they'll have to find a replacement for veteran guard and five-year captain James Harvey.

The Sydney Kings yesterday announced they had signed Harvey, as well as former centre Ian Crosswhite who will return from the Cairns Taipans.

The Blaze was put into voluntary administration last week, but Basketball Australia interim CEO Scott Derwin said on Tuesday that a new investor had emerged could enable the club to stay in the competition.
