‘The Block’ stars visit Airlie

STARS of the popular television show 'The Block' Brad and Lara Cranfield were in Airlie Beach over the Easter long weekend, creating a buzz amongst local fans of the show.   They were spotted at several places around Airlie Beach including the lagoon and at several restaurants.   Cruise Whitsundays hosted the couple on a trip to the Great Barrier Reef on Easter Sunday and they did a fishing charter on Monday.   Cruise Whitsundays Chief Executive Officer Nick Hortle said it was a pleasure to host the couple. "Our crew had a great time hosting them onboard, they were lovely, genuine people who were happy to pose for pictures and share stories with other guests," Mr Hortle said.   "The crew even convinced Lara to do her first ever scuba dive which she loved," he said.   "Not only was it nice to host minor celebrities on board but they posted pictures from their entire Whitsundays trip on their Facebook page which has over 65,000 fans so it was great publicity for the whole region."   The couple were recently married and were enjoying their first holiday as a married couple following Brad's win of $509,250 which he shared with fellow renovating partner Dale Vine.   The couple also appeared on the 2012 series of The Block winning $606,000.
