Bogut goes cold as Boomers lose warm-up match
BACK in the green and gold for the first time in seven years, Andrew Bogut (pictured) went scoreless in Australia's 80-68 loss to Lithuania.
The 213cm centre, part of Golden State's NBA championship-winning team last season, shot 0-7 from the field and had one rebound and three assists in 20 minutes of court time.
The Boomers play Lithuania - ranked No.4 in the world - again tonight, before two more warm-up games against Slovenia ahead of the Oceania Olympic qualifiers against New Zealand, which start in Melbourne on August 15.
Meanwhile, Steph Talbot again led the way for the Opals with a game-high 19 points and six rebounds in the 84-64 win over Japan in game two of their three-match series. Playing her first game in 18 months after a knee injury, Rachel Jarry finished with 13 points and five rebounds.
Game three will be played in Ballarat tonight.
