Bonanza bursting with bargains for book lovers
THERE'S only one thing better than a good book, and that's one you've picked up for bargain.
Now in its twentieth year, the Proserpine Historical Museum Society Book Bonanza is the ideal place for fans of print entertainment.
With thousands of books on offer, life member Ailsa Reinke said there were plenty of bargains to be had.
"They range from 20 cents to about $5," she said.
"We try to keep the prices down."
Boasting titles ranging from cooking to craft, from fantasy to self-help, there really is something for everyone.
"We've got just about anything you can name really," Ms Reinke said.
"There might even be books of out print, so they can pick them up here."
There's a special addition to the bonanza this year, with a trash and treasure and a selection of plants on offer.
All proceeds from the bonanza go back into the running of the museum, with Ms Reinke thanking the public for their support in donating their pre-loved books.
"The community are just wonderful the way they pitch in," she said.
