Book Week celebrated

NATIONAL Book Week has been celebrated around Whitsunday schools.

Whitsunday Cristian College and St Catherines Catholic College both held their own activities last week to celebrate the Children's Book Council of Australia initiative.

This year's theme was "Australia: Story Country”.

St Catherines celebrated the week by decorating all three of their libraries as Australian bushcamps with classes enjoying storytelling around the billy. They also held a Book Week Parade with students dressing up as their favourite book character as well as a host of other activities at each campus.

The school would like to thank all the staff and parents who put in lots of hard work to make Book Week a success and fun for all.
