Brahmans go down in Grand Final

THE Whitsunday Brahmans' premiership defence came to an end at the hands of the Mackay Magpies last night, going down 28 - 14.

A thread on the Whitsunday Brahmans Facebook page kept fans at home updated, with half time seeing the sides neck and neck on 12-all.

The Brahmans appeared to lose their form in the second term however, leaving the Magpies to pile on a two unanswered tries.

With just 10 minutes to go the score stood at 22 - 12.

In the dying minutes of the match the Magpies applied one more, taking them to 28.

The final siren sounded on the 2016 season with the score at 28 - 12, before the Brahmans successfully kicked a penalty goal to claim the last points of the match.
