Brahmans to face off against Miners at home

RUGBY LEAGUE

THE Proserpine Whitsunday Brahmans are keen to get back on the field after the Easter-long weekend to take on the Moranbah Miners at Les Stagg Oval this Saturday.

Spectators will enjoy four rounds of epic rugby league action which will be kicked off by an exciting master's exhibition match at 2.30pm.

The Brahmans under-18's, who are currently sitting fifth on the ladder will then take on the seventh placed Miners at 3.30pm.

The seventh placed Brahmans reserves will then face a tough challenge for their epic hit out with the Miners reserves, who are sitting in a very comfortable second place on the Mackay District Rugby League competition, at 5pm.

There will be a small ANZAC ceremony held for all players and spectators prior to the A grade kick off at 7pm.

In the final clash of the night, the seventh placed A grade Brahmans will have to dig deep to overcome the Miners who are currently ranked third in the competition.

A grade manager Bryce Fraser said the Brahmans A grade had only played two matches so far this season, winning one and losing one.

"We have had two washout weeks while other clubs have scored points over four games which is why we are ranked seventh on the ladder but I'm confident the boys will perform well on Saturday," he said.

Presentations will follow at the Metropole Hotel after the game.

Brahmans Army memberships will be available at the gate.
