Police reopen streets following bomb squad search
UPDATE 5PM: Police have lifted the cordon and declared a number of streets around Waterfront Place in the Brisbane CBD open to traffic.
It is understood the bomb squad has finished screening the area.

2:53PM: THE bomb squad are on the scene of a Brisbane CBD street to probe two suspicious cars found outside Commonwealth offices.
Immigration Minister Peter Dutton held a media conference at Waterfront Place just before the street was closed however his office has confirmed Mr Dutton left the building about 1pm.

It is understood the car had been left there for three days, with multiple parking tickets issued.
A police spokesman said authorities were taking precautions as they search the vehicle during the 'emerging situation'.
The Courier-Mail reported that Waterfront Place has not been evacuated but people from nearby offices are not being allowed into the area.
Police are extending the road closure onto Mary Street, with cars being diverted onto Market Street.
