Broncos support Francis Molo after tackle on James Ackerman

WAYNE Bennett says the Brisbane Broncos have banded together behind forward Francis Molo in the wake of James Ackerman's death.

The rugby league community has rallied around both Ackerman's family and Molo, who made the tackle on Ackerman while playing for Broncos feeder team Norths in Saturday's match.

Bennett wouldn't comment on the QRL's decision to send Molo's case straight to the judiciary at a date yet to be determined, saying only the club had engaged legal representation for the young forward.

That date is more likely to be confirmed after the announcement that James Ackerman's funeral will be open to the public at Sunshine Coast Stadium at 11am on Wednesday, July 1.

Bennett said Molo and his teammates were responding as well as could be expected after an emotional week.
