Buderim links with West Ham

THE Buderim Wanderers Football Club has struck up a partnership with recently elevated English Premier League team West Ham United.

Buderim will be a part of West Ham's International Academy, which has produced the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard, Michael Carrick, Joe Cole and Glen Johnson.

The international academy allows clubs in Canada, the United States, Australia and New Zealand to tap into West Ham's coaching structure and knowledge.

Buderim will host a talent identification camp at Ballinger Road Oval on July 2-3, with the possibility of players being invited to a national identification camp later in the year.

Buderim will also celebrate its 40th anniversary on Saturday, June 2.

The club's first grade team will take on Caloundra at 6pm at Ballinger Road that night. All past players are invited.
