Bundaberg Police seek information on missing school girl

BUNDABERG Police are seeking public assistance to locate a 15-year-old girl who hasn't been seen since June 3.

While police do not hold fears for the girl's safety, Detective Senior Constable Grant Klaassen said police would like to speak with Rebecca Lauren Burns to make sure she is alright.

"We're looking for help to find missing 15-year-old school girl Rebecca Lauren Burns," he said.

"She hasn't been seen since the 3rd of June at Sugarland Shopping Centre.

"Obviously her parents - and we - haven't heard from her since that date, so we're keen if anyone knows where she is to let us know so we can speak to her and check that she's fine and well."

Det Snr Const Klaassen said Rebecca was last seen with her boyfriend and police believe the pair are still together.

"To date we haven't been able to locate either of those persons," he said.

"So obviously her mother's concerned and we're concerned - we'd just like to speak to her.

"She's described as approximately 163cm tall with a proportionate build and she's got collar length black wavy hair."

Police are urging Rebecca to let police know she is alright or anyone with information to come forward and contact the Bundaberg Police Station on 4153 9111 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
