Bunnings set to open in January

BUNNINGS Warehouse in Cannonvale is getting ready to open its doors in late January with the shelves filling up and landscaping, painting, fencing and electrical works all taking shape.

About 75 tradesmen helped construct the Cannonvale store which will also create about 80 new jobs for local residents.

The development on Pandanus and Shute Harbour Road in Cannonvale covers almost 5,000m2 on a 1.6 hectare site.

It features a main warehouse, timber trade section, outdoor nursery and a drive through landscape area.

Bunnings property general manager Matthew Toohey said road works outside the store were nearing completion.

“The chip seal has been applied to Pandanus Drive and if the present good weather holds, the seal coat will be applied just before Christmas,” he said.
