Business and owner named as finalists
A WHITSUNDAY beauty salon and business owner have been selected out of 150 entries from across the country as a finalist in the annual 2013 Australian Beauty Industry Awards.
Airlie Day Spa and Hair Studio was selected as finalists for the Best Beauty Salon with five treatment rooms or more alongside business owner Julie Cauchi who was nominated as Salon/Day Spa Director of the Year.
A strong panel of 21 industry experts from all over Australia spent a full day at one of the Australian Beauty Industry Awards state judging events held in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane scrutinising over the 150 entries. The Australian Beauty Industry Awards represents one of the highest accolades within the industry and honour the best of the best in both creative and business categories.
Owner of Airlie Day Spa Julie Cauchi said it was an honour to be nominated.
"I am stunned to have been selected as a finalist as spa director and to also have Airlie Day Spa and Hair Studio being short listed as a finalist as well is amazing," she said.
"It is a tribute to the hard work and effort and put in by our team."
Winners in the 2013 Australian Beauty Industry Awards will be announced at the beauty industry's night of nights gala extravaganza at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre on Monday, August 26.
