Busker Voo, 11, records LP
A MUDGEERABA singer has released her first two CDs only one-and-a-half years after she started writing her age with double digits.
Regular busker at the Sunday markets at Burleigh, 11-year-old Savannah Tindiglia recorded a covers album and an original single.
"That was really fun. The 10 songs are just a mixture of all my favourite covers," Savannah said.
"I recorded Hey Soul Sister by Train, Magic by Selena Gomez and Ben by Michael Jackson.
"I enjoyed recording the songs and listen to myself and just singing."
The singer, who also goes by the stage name of Voo, said she would sell the CDs on her new website.
The recording was made possible with a Gold Coast City Council grant and the support of a Palm Beach recording studio.
Your Recording owner Gary Cartwright said he was mesmerised by Savannah's voice right from the time he first heard her sing.
"I couldn't believe the fact that she was 11 years old and had written these brilliant lyrics," Mr Cartwright said.
"At the recording studio I had to keep reminding myself that she was 11 years old.
"I didn't have to use Auto-Tune on her because she kept perfect pitch."
