Busy summer at Federation Square

INTERESTING architecture, open spaces, galleries, shops, dining options and tourism activities make Melbourne's Federation Square a hub for locals and visitors.

The space also boasts a busy events programme that encompasses festivals, performances, installations and exhibitions.

Summer is particularly busy, with live music every second Thursday until April 21, covering a wide variety of musical genres.

Australia Day on January 26 sees various ethnic groups hold multicultural festivals on their National Days.

Regular events include classical concerts, monthly wine tastings, a weekly Saturday morning book market, a car showcase, and performance poetry.

One-hour guided tours of the square run Monday-Saturday at 2pm.
