Camping chair may hold clues to suspected murder

POLICE are requesting public help in identifying a camping chair that was located near where the body of 24-year-old Alexis Jeffery was found last week.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the suspected murder of the mother-of-three.

Her body was found on the bank of the Macintyre River near the Goondiwindi Cultural Centre on March 16.

The red and black camping chair was found on the riverbank near the cultural centre.

Investigators believe the chair may have been at the location prior to the incident taking place.

It appears this particular area of the river is used by recreational fisherman and families.

Anyone who may have information is encouraged to contact Goondiwindi Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
