Cannonvalley Pony Club claims consecutive days
PONY CLUB: The Cannonvalley Pony Club welcomed riders from as far north as Charters Towers, as far south as Fitzroy River and as far west as Dysart at the weekend for their State Championship qualifying event.
On Saturday, the jump equitation saw Charlotte Lee claim the 10 and under official, with Charlotte Brown in fourth.
The 11 and under 13 grade went to Lochlan Gray, ahead of Abi Lee and Xanthia Thompson.
Tori Mansfield was good enough in the 13 and under 15, with Georgina Lee in second and Amy Gray in fifth. Bonny Connell took the silver for the seniors.
CVPC won the day in the team points, including Charlotte Lee, Lochlan Gray, Abi Lee and Tori Mansfield.
Sunday had the riders take part in the show jumping, with Charlotte Lee again award the laurels in the 10 and under official.
Lochlan Gray took home another ribbon, claiming first in the 12 and under ahead of Abi Lee.
In the 70 and 80cm, Amy Gray finished in fifth.
Tori Mansfield topped the podium in the 100 and 110cm.
While Bonny Connell took out the gold for the seniors.
Our local club again claimed the team points, with riders Charlotte Lee, Lochlan Gray, Abi Lee and Tori Mansfield.
The club thanked Evan Parker, Beef Em Up Stockfeeds, Proserpine Rural, Proserpine Vets, Pacific Wide Electrical and BIG4 Whitsunday for their donations and awards to the winners.
