Patients in Collinsville crash transported to Mackay

UPDATE 4.30PM: Two people involved in a single-vehicle crash in Collinsville have been taken to Mackay Base Hospital.

A Mackay Hospital and Health Service spokeswoman said both patients, a 47-year-old man and 40-year-old woman, were in a stable condition.

Both were taken to Collinsville Hospital at 11.45am on Thursday after their car crashed down an embankment, police said.

One patient was treated for chest and arm injuries and the other received minor injuries.

INITIAL: Two people were taken to Collinsville Hospital after a single vehicle crash down an embankment in Collinsville last night.

Paramedics were called to the scene on Peter Delamothe Rd at 11.45pm.

A Queensland Police spokesman said the car crashed down an embankment.

Both patients were transported by ambulance to hospital in a stable condition.

One was treated for chest and arm injuries and the other received minor injuries.
