Car roll over north of Proserpine
A 28-YEAR-OLD Bowen man has escaped a car roll over on the Bruce Hwy north of Proserpine in the early hours of today without injuries .
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed an ambulance had attended a single vehicle roll-over at 6.40am where the driver declined transport to hospital.
Officer in Charge of Proserpine police Mark Flynn said a utility travelling southbound hit a pocket of water on road surface rolled down an embankment when the driver lost control.
No injuries were reported and the car has been towed from scene.
This morning's incident comes just three days after another accident four kilometres north of Proserpine on the Bruce Hwy where a car crashed into a telephone pole causing powercuts to 730 customers.
Monday's driver, a 52-year-old Townsville man was taken to Proserpine Hospital in a stable condition and was subsequently issued with an infringement notice for failing to have proper control of a vehicle.
