Carbon tax circus

Carbon tax circus
COMMENTING on the article in the Whitsunday Times edition June 28, George Christensen launches a petition to axe carbon tax.
Good on you George, however, with a government like our present Labor circus you stand little chance.
Regarding Jonathan Dykyj's comments, he's got to be green or living in fairy land.
No doubt Mr Dykyj, you drive a car which emits carbon.
If you were to pay a carbon tax how much carbon would be reduced by this monetary tax?
Absolutely none.
The same applies to sugar mills, coal, electricity etcetera.
A monetary tax is for government revenue only.
Very similar to the GST. No carbon will be reduced.
This tax was imposed on us by PM Julia Gillard's perpetual sweet lies.
The PM claims that this tax will reduce carbon for the benefit of our children and generations to come.
Had the PM stated that the carbon tax will be used for research into ways and means of reducing carbon, this would have been far more palatable.
A monetary tax is not the answer to pollution unless the tax is used for research.
Should Labor win the next election, we will have to put up with the present carbon and suffer the tax as well.
