Chamber's festive cheer

WHITSUNDAY Chamber of Commerce (WCCC) is ready to celebrate the festive season and they want locals to join in on the festivities at their annual Christmas party tomorrow night.

But you have to be quick because ticket sales close off at 5pm today.

Vice President of WCCC, Mark Beale said the party, to be held at Lure, Abell Point Marina, was not just for members but for the general public as well.

"We'd love to see and hear from (everyone),” he said.

"Even if they're not members, it will still be lovely to hear from everyone what successes and failures they've had over the course of the year.

"Of course, we can help them if they're a businesses, and if they decide to become a member, that'd be even more wonderful,” Mr Beale said.

Three speakers will present on the evening, including Whitsunday Mayor Andrew Willcox, Melanie Davies from Whitsunday Regional Council and local entrepreneur, Ian Bishop.
